A video of Ziggy Marley performing songs by his legendary father Bob on the rules of the latter’s Facebook page BillboardTable of top Facebook live videos for July 2020.
The chart, the latest of which recaps activity from July 2020, is a monthly snapshot of the broadest and most-reacted videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics firm Shareablee. The rankings are determined by a formula that mixes reactions, comments, shares and views from the first seven days.
Since removed from the Bob Marley page, the hour-long upload, which was posted on July 19, featured Ziggy Marley performing several songs, the latest in a series of tributes to Bob in 2020, during which he would have been 75 years old.
The video topped Facebook’s Top Live Videos of July 2020 rankings in two of its four metrics: reactions (99,000) and first-seven-day views (9.4 million), according to Shareablee.
It is followed by a July 6 post from Ted Nugent, who led the June 2020 list. The upload paid tribute to the late Charlie Daniels, who died that day at the age of 83.
Along with being one of five videos uploaded by musicians to surpass one million views on Facebook Live in July 2020 (Nugent and Marley were joined by music videos from Garth Brooks, Metallica and Carabao), the clip by Nugent was also the most shared video in July. 2020, with 22,000 shares.
