Singer and songwriter Krishnakumar Kunnath known by his stage name KK passed away on May 31, 2022. Kolkata Police have registered an unnatural death case in connection with the sudden death of the singer. The singer fell ill while performing at an event in Kolkata and was taken to CMRI Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The case was registered at the New Market police station where the police are waiting for the family of the late singer. According to the police, after obtaining the consent of the family and the process of identifying the body, an investigation and an autopsy will be carried out. KK’s remains will be handed over to the family after the autopsy. An investigation into the matter is underway. Investigators are awaiting the preliminary autopsy report. KK was only 53 years old. One of the most versatile singers in the Indian film industry, KK has recorded songs in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali. He is survived by his wife and children. He is best known for his songs like ‘Zindagi Do Pal Ki’ from the movie Kites, ‘Aankhon Mein Teri’ from the movie Om Shanti Om, and ‘Tadap Tadap’ from the movie ‘Hum Dil From Chuke Sanam’. KK was a musician who was not labeled by any particular genre or style, his voice simply went along with the wonderful music of all kinds. KK sang catchy dance songs as well as cheesy romantic hits, and that’s what made him an all-ages singer who will forever be cherished in the hearts of his millions of fans around the world. He was a singer who sang and played until his last breath.
