The Detroit Symphony Orchestra opens its fall season with artistic director Jader Bignamini conducting the DSO in Ottorino Respighi’s symphonic poems depicting the astonishing fountains and graceful pines of his beloved Rome. The program also includes “Banner” by Essie Montgomery and the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D minor by Jean Sibelius, Op. 47.
