This could be a useful way to boost your presence on Instagram and maximize your content.
As reported by a reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun WongInstagram is currently testing an option that would allow you to share your Instagram Live streams directly to IGTV as soon as the broadcast ends.
This could be an easy way to build your IGTV content library. IGTV, of course, hasn’t taken off as Instagram would have originally hoped, but more recent announcements such as monetization options for the platform could give it a significant boost. IGTV could yet become an important consideration – and if you can harness that growth in a simple way and maximize the value of your content, then why not flip the switch and record your Instagram Live streams.
But then again, live shows aren’t usually the finest, most polished productions. Users may prefer to upload their live video and then edit it to make it more impactful before uploading it to IGTV. But if you don’t have time for that, or if you’re happy with the authenticity of your initial recording, this could be a great option.
There’s no word from Instagram on an official release, but with the platform placing more emphasis on IGTV, it seems likely we’ll see that happen sooner rather than later.
