LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Live music from a wide variety returns to Moondance at the Midnight Pass Amphitheater for the summer.
Big Band & Jazz returns Tuesdays to the Moondance Amphitheater until July 2. Concerts start at 7 p.m. The program is as follows:
May 25 – Dixieland South Jazz Band
June 1 – DiMartino, Osland Little Big Band
June 8 – Marlin McKay Quintet
June 15 – Tim Lake and the Jazz Blues Persuaders
June 22 – Ross Whitaker Jazz Trio
June 29 – Lexington Summer Concert Band *patriotic concert
July 2 – Les Métrognomes *patriotic concert, special Friday show
Summer Nights in Suburbia returns to the Moondance Amphitheater most Fridays. The free concert includes jazz, bluegrass, indie rock, blues and folk genres. Food trucks will be on site and announced soon, according to organizers. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Registration will be mandatory in 2021 for each concert and will open the week before each concert. Registration is available HERE.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with shows from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The program is as follows:

The Southland Jamboree, a free Bluegrass music concert Thursday nights at 7 p.m., returns to the Moondance Amphitheater from June 17. According to the organizers, food for purchase will be available in the food trucks. The event is also cooler and conducive to picnics. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
