Many fans hoping to see P Tee Money on stage this year may have to wait awhile as music festivals, tours and concerts begin to feel the effects of the coronavirus outbreak.
While announcing the artist’s decision to cancel his musical engagement, his publicist Semako Asogba said, “Out of caution and due to growing public health concerns, P Tee Money is postponing the spring 2020 tour. It was a decision extremely difficult, but the well-being of his fans is always his top priority. “
According to Asogba, all shows and concerts from spring through April have been postponed and rescheduled dates will be announced soon.
Gradually, the entertainment industry is feeling the negative impact of the dreaded virus that has killed more than 8,000 people around the world and continues to count. Some major festivals have been canceled or postponed, and many artists have been forced to take similar action with tour dates.
And with the infection spreading around the world, the World Health Organization (WHO) and medical experts have recommended social distancing, which means getting carried away with thousands of others at a gig may not be the best idea. Of course, it’s best to stay away from large gatherings for now.
While apologizing to his fans, British music artist Thompson Iyamu, aka P Tee Money, said: “I am so sorry and deeply upset; if anyone feels the same based on this news, I share that emotion with you.
He continued, “The tour will be rescheduled, dates will be announced at a later date. My fans represent the world to me and protecting their safety is number one priority. I want the shows to be memorable and not experienced with fear.”
