Shipyards Festival offers concerts and performances in North Vancouver

Please Note: British Columbia is at step 3 of its COVID-19 restart plan. Please adhere to COVID-19 health and safety measures, including physical distancing and frequent hand washing, and wear a mask or face covering in indoor and commercial public spaces. If you are sick, please stay home.

A popular music festival is expected to return to the North Vancouver shipyard district next month.

The 2021 Shipyard Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 25. The full-day event will feature four musical stages that will see concerts performed throughout the day.

Performances include Bedouin Soundclash, The Zolas, Astrocolour, XL the Band, IAMTHELIVING and Small Town Artillery, to name a few.

In addition to live concerts, the festival will also include activities and attractions such as a Seaspan Family Zone, face painting, balloon arts and crafts.

Parking should be limited, therefore cycling, walking and public transport are encouraged.

Valet bicycle parking will also be available. Wallace Mew’s and Victory Ship Way will also be closed to the public during the event.

“This is great news for the community, businesses and groups – we all can’t wait to start celebrating and enjoying great events together,” said Greg Holmes, Executive Director of Lower Lonsdale BIA.

The Festival des Chantiers Navals 2021 will take place between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m. and is free.
