Knoxville, Tenn. (WATE) – Concerts are making a comeback at The Mill and Mine. The event venue announced on its Facebook page on Tuesday that it will resume holding live concerts in April.
“We are first and foremost a concert hall, so of course we want concerts, live music and sound to fill our hall again,” said general manager Margaret Stolfi.
Due to COVID-19, The Mill and Mine has not held live concerts since February 2020. Live music returns on April 30 with some changes.
Stofli says that instead of their usual standing room only, with a capacity of 1,200, seats will be allocated and they will only allow around 15% of their normal capacity.
There will also be contactless ordering options, masks will be required, and there will be multiple sanitizing stations.
“We are finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with cases down, hospitalizations down and news on vaccination. But we’re also moving very slowly and don’t want to go too fast, so that’s just our next little step as we try to get things back to normal,” Stolfi said.
