Walmart is also presenting a homecoming concert series with free virtual and outdoor performances in the artists’ hometowns. Imagine Dragons will kick off the shows on August 27 in Las Vegas, followed by Chance the Rapper on August 30 in Chicago and Kane Brown on September 7 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

“As a former Chicago public school student, it’s great to be able to perform for students who were in my shoes,” Chance the Rapper said in a Walmart blog post announcing the shows. “In my music I talk a lot about the impact growing up in Chicago has had on the person and artist I have become and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with the community through this event.”

Kane Brown’s concert will also be broadcast live by actors Noah Schnapp (of Netflix’s “Stranger Things”) and Madison Bailey (of Netflix’s “Outer Banks”). The live event will feature purchasable content and give viewers the chance to win back-to-school prizes. The livestream can be found at Walmart.com/live and will stream to Walmart’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and TikTok accounts.

“Walmart is excited to support and inspire communities as we enter a new school year,” said William White, Walmart Marketing Director, in a statement. “We will show our sincere thanks and appreciation to schools, teachers and students in a bold way. “
